I like cooking.
I don’t like picking out meals for the week, writing down everything I need for them, grocery shopping, or digging through a gazillion recipes to find what I want…
I don’t like picking out meals for the week, writing down everything I need for them, grocery shopping, or digging through a gazillion recipes to find what I want…
So recently, while I was snowed in, I went through allll my recipes, threw away ones I didn’t like or will never use, and gathered all of our favorites together.
I had the idea to make a small recipe binder for the car (for grocery trips) and a recipe flipbook for the kitchen, with the same favorite dinner recipes in them. I haven’t finished the binder yet, but here’s the flipbook:

The binder in the car is going to save a bunch of time… I can stop at the store whenever and grab what I need, without worrying about finding recipes and making lists. And every now and then, I’ll try something new and add it if we like it. So that’s what I’m doing… And then Fred found this awesome site:

You can enter your recipes in, print them out on recipe cards (which I’m doing for the binder and flipbook) and if you click which meals you want to make for the week, it makes a grocery list for you. Awesome.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my excitement… over organization… I know, I’m totally lame.
