Homemade Play Kitchen

I love being snowed in with my little family, relaxing, staying in our PJ’s, building things…

11

I finally tried using Mod Podge.
How have I gone this long without it?

12

I had a cup of ice water that I was drinking while I worked.
Sitting right next to a cup of water that I was cleaning paintbrushes in.
Yep, I drank it.
And spit it all over the place.
Which Fred enjoyed.

13

Fred did the drilling and sawing…

14
And I did the painting…

15

It took us the whole weekend to finish, but we only worked on it while the kids were napping or in bed for the night.
And here’s the finished product!

Thanks! Most of it was just stuff we had laying around - I think the only things we bought were the knobs, hinges and the "faucet," which is actually just a wooden letter J. :) The main part was an old nightstand, and the top part was a wall shelf... the backboard and oven door were just scraps of wood we had. And we threw it all together. Okay, well my husband put it all together, and I painted. :) Oh, and the sink was just a bowl I had - my husband cut the hole in the nightstand and the bowl just fits in there snugly. I think that's about it. If you have any other questions, I'll try to answer!
